Why We Built This Site
Louisiana opens a good share of warrant information to the public under its public records law. The difficulty is working out which office holds the piece you need. A warrant does not live in a single place.
The court that issues a warrant sets the charge and the bond. The sheriff's criminal records section holds the agency file and can say whether the warrant is still outstanding. A bench warrant from a mayor's court for a missed date stays with that court. Louisiana has no single public portal that searches every parish, city, mayor's court, and justice court warrant at once, so checking one office, finding nothing, and concluding you are clear is an easy mistake to make.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookups: how a warrant search runs by name, date of birth, and case number through the clerk and the sheriff
- Outstanding warrants: what an active warrant means and why the parish publishes no complete list
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants and attachments arise and which court holds them
- Charge-based warrants: how arrest warrants are issued and served in St. Tammany Parish
- Traffic and city matters: how traffic warrants and city and mayor's court warrants are checked
- Most wanted programs: how the county's most wanted list works and where the official tip routes lead
- Public records: the access rules and request steps for the clerk and the sheriff
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. We have no connection to any Louisiana court, sheriff's office, or state agency. There are real limits to what we can help with:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot promise that every phone number, fee, or listing on this site is current right now
Only the court that issued a warrant, or the sheriff's office holding the agency file, can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared.
Search Partners
Some pages here carry search boxes run by outside providers. Those companies set their own pricing and operate their own services. When one of those tools leads to a paid signup, we may earn a referral fee, and that revenue keeps the site free to read.
We do not control what those providers charge or what appears in their results. Their data is not an official warrant check and does not come from the clerk or the sheriff.
